My tenant let me know that the ac (heat pump) wasn't working at my rental house in Harrisonburg. She had tried to call several different companies to make an appointment, but they all were scheduling a week out, and they also wanted the landlord to make the appointment. I remembered several years ago I had called Solutions Mechanical (now Fixed HVAC & Plumbing) and they had come out very quickly, so I looked them up, found that their review ratings were just as high as before, and called them. David answered right away and set up the appointment for THAT AFTERNOON, in just a few hours. The tech arrived within the window of time, called me to let me know how much the repair would be (and it was reasonable), had it up and running very quickly, and let me know it was repaired. I paid and my problem was gone within a few hours. I'm glad my tenants didn't have to wait a week to have the ac back on! Thank you so much!

I needed to replace my gas water heater and wanted a local company. I contacted Solutions Mechanical & Plumbing on a Friday and spoke with Doug. He made me feel like a long-lost friend and not a potential customer, and he scheduled a service appointment for the following Monday. Jeff & Scott arrived on time, and thoroughly looked at everything. They were professional, polite, went over the problems I had, answered all my questions, it was obvious they were very knowledgeable in their field, and that made me feel comfortable with the Company. The next morning, I received the quote from Doug, and all the details were handled over the phone. Six working days later they had received the new water heater and Jeff & Scott were here to do the replacement. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was correctly installed and working properly. Their service was amazing, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you, guys,!

We put Solutions Mechanical up to a wicked challenge with a full repiping to replace old polybutylene piping in our weirdly-plumbed house, during a 90F+ heat wave week, no less. They got us on the schedule quickly and were on time and efficient throughout. There was great communication and we always knew when they'd be working here (no surprise visits or odd times). The initial estimate was accurate and their plans were discussed with us in advance, and all work performed aligned with those plans. They even managed to do fewer wall cuts than anticipated, reducing mess on our end. The financing plan was a lifesaver, making a big job more manageable to pay for. Workers were friendly and professional and cleaned up along the way and afterwards, and impact on our day to day life for the few work days was minimized as much as possible, which we appreciated. A friend referred us to Solutions Mechanical and we will now refer others. Highly recommended. Great quality work, constant communication and transparency, efficient scheduling, friendly service, and a reasonable price.

Great, friendly and timely service! Had an outdoor faucet that was leaking, they service was great when I called they were very friendly and sent a plumber out the same day. Dakota was very honest about the problem and explained the issue to me well instead of just sayin this is what I need to do. He thoroughly explained what needed to be done and why. Then explained, what he would do to fix the problem properly. He showed up early and completed the job in a timely manner and was very friendly. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Dakota did a great job fixing our Rinnai tankless water heater. He was very responsive and personable. Everyone I spoke with at the company was friendly, knowledgeable and made sure our repair was done in a timely & professional manner. Our regular plumber didn’t have experience with fixing Rinnai and couldn’t figure out the problem. He said we needed a new water heater installed for $3600. I did some research and found out I needed a Rinnai trained plumber with experience not only installing, but also fixing Rinnai water heaters. I found Solutions Mechanical listed on the Rinnai website as a company with technicians trained on fixing and servicing Rinnai products. Dakota realized the problem right away and replaced my fan for $500. He also advised we need to have the unit serviced yearly and he performed the first ever service on the unit. I’m so glad I found them and can’t recommend them highly enough.

Solutions Mechanical will always be my "go to" company when I have any plumbing issues. They are very responsive and their staff is well trained and very professioanal. I recently had my four outdoor spigots replaced and their plumber, Dakota, came out and not only did a terrific job but took the time to show me how to oil the inside of the spigot as well as provide me helpful ideas to improve the softening of the water in our well system. Your staff employee member CODY LAMB was phenomenal. You all need to know that he was very kind, professional, knowledgeable, and proficient. Having a stranger come into your home to make repairs is normal, but something really stood out about him. I can't quite put my finger on it but EVERY PERSON IN THIS COMPANY needs to know what a great job he did. He was here working after hours yesterday without any attitude. Which is something you'd expect but don't always see. Then, first thing this morning he was here to finish up the job. We had no water pressure in our master bathroom at all. To say our water was a slow trickle would be a lie. Once he was done with his work, the water pressure was better than it has been the entire 6 years we've lived here. So please make a note of the fact that you have an outstanding person representing your company. That doesn't just show up to work for a paycheck, but you have someone that takes pride in the work he does. So THANKS AGAIN Cody Lamb. Your work is grately appreciated.

We had an incredibly difficult clogged (standing water) kitchen sink that we tried absolutely everything. I called Monday afternoon around 2:30pm and a technician arrived about an hour later. We were very fortunate of how quickly he responded since he was in the area. He worked hard to ensure that the clog that had slowly accumulated over the past 20 years from a previously installed garbage disposal was thoroughly removed. Now our kitchen sink is no longer slow or has water that accumulates in the sink when the dishwasher drains!

Had water heater issues, needed a new one after installation began to leak from pressure relief valve they tested our water pressure found it to be too high and recommended a water pressure adjustment valve. Only reason I'm giving them 5 Stars is because they didn't offer 10! These guys that came to my mom's place later in the afternoon and stayed until 8-8:30 that night so my mom had water ! We had a great experience with Solutions Mechanical & Plumbing. Our heat pump went out so we were forced to get a new one in the middle of the summer. After many other places couldn't get to it for over two weeks we contacted them, got a quote on Thursday and it was installed on the following Monday. We connected with Solutions Mechanical through Rinnai, the tankless water heater company. Solutions Mechanical is a local certified installer for the Rinnai units. Since meeting with the employees we've had nothing but good experiences getting competitive quotes, friendly service, and quality work.
Since having the Rinnai tankless gas water heater installed we have also purchased two replacement HVAC units; a gas furnace for downstairs and an electric heat pump for our upstairs.
With both projects, Solutions Mechanical handled every aspect of the job, and answered all of our questions before we committed. Employees acquired, delivered, and installed every part with no issue. In each case, we knew beforehand what major changes were going to need to be made beyond just "install it." We knew electricity was going to need to be run to a new location, that a vent would need to be installed through our wall, that the gas line would need to be modified and expanded. We greatly appreciated knowing all of this before any work started.
Because of such a great experience we expect to call them back for many home improvement projects that we have planned for the future. Obviously we highly recommend them!

We at Wayne Hills Baptist church have used David and his guys several times. For standard repairs and complex repairs and replacements, in both plumbing and hvac. They have always been quick to respond and very professional. Their pricing has always been fair and competitive. They are a pleasure to work with.
I'm also a small general contractor myself. I've used them as sub contractors for a residential project. They came in and had completely redo all the plumbing and upgrade everything. They installed several independent wall units where we couldn't run duct work for central air. It was a 3 story home. They did great work and followed through on everything. They also upgraded the boiler system. They are clean and great to work with. I will definitely use them again.

By Friday afternoon, the problem was diagnosed. Although it was bad news for me, John Dexter walked me through how it happened and what it would take to get it repaired/replaced. He also assured me how to safely make it though the upcoming days with hot water. The following week, he replaced the broken unit and also installed additional safeguards to prevent it from happening again.
The quote they provided me was exactly what they charged me even though installation took longer than expected! Thank you Solutions for working with me to get things fixed!

I don't often write reviews but I feel that if doing so helps get the word out about David Britt and his excellent work, it is a service that will benefit anyone who reads this. Last weekend, we had what I'd consider a plumbing disaster, one that was quite messy and overwhelming. David put me at ease on the phone before he'd even come to the house, assuring me that while it was understandable that I'd be stressed, things were going to end up just fine. He was right.
David came on a Friday night to assess the problem and, when it was obvious that the problem was a bit more involved, he vowed to come back the next morning. He worked on the job for us Saturday morning, then came back Saturday afternoon and worked well into the evening to finish the job, which was no small task. Throughout the process, David was professional, upfront, knowledgeable and encouraging. I am confident that if we ever have a plumbing issue again, I'll be calling this company to give them my business. I recommend their services without reservation.
