Water Heater Shortage of 2021

Water Heater Shortage – 2021

Ah…hot water.  Turn on the faucet and here it comes.  Hop in the shower and let it wash your cares away.  Fire up the dishwater and let it do its thing.  No muss and no fuss.  That is until we don’t have any hot water due to a water heater failure.

In the past, it’s been no big deal.  Just hurry on down to our favorite plumbing supply company or call our trusty plumber and problem solved.  That is until now.  So, what’s the problem?

There appear to be two main culprits.  The first culprit is the supply chain disruption due to plant closings or production cutbacks due to the Covid 19 pandemic.  The other culprit is the demand for plumbing supplies that has resulted from this past winter’s devastating storm that crippled the state of Texas.

Given the current shortage, we are encouraging both private and commercial property owners to take proactive steps to ensure that water heater failure does not create undue hardship and expense.  If your water heater is over 10 years old, you should consider contacting the professionals at Solutions Mechanical and investing in a service call to have it checked.  That will ensure that, should your water heater be at risk for failure due to age, plans can be made to replace it before it fails and leaves you without hot water for an extended period of time.

At Solutions Mechanical, your comfort is important to us and we want to do everything we can to make sure you have the hot water you need when you need it.
